Fatima Leite Kusch in partnership with Body Proud and the Drug Free Sports Association (DFSA), will host the Body Proud FAME Canadian National Championships in Vancouver at the Centennial Theatre 2300 Lonsdale Avenue, N. Vancouver, BC on Saturday, October 24, 2009 all day starting at 10:00 AM.

FAME is the stage for Fitness, Athletes, Models and Entertainment.  The FAME World Tour is a series of international physique competition showcase events.   BPO/FAME hosts four regional shows in Canada, which culminate at the Canadian National Championships in Vancouver.  Winning competitors move onto the FAME World Championships to be held on November 6, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  FAME Competition categories for the Canadian Nationals are Model Search, Fitness, Figure and Natural Bodybuilding.  Judging begins at 10:00 AM and finals begin at 7:00 PM.  All shows are drug tested to confirm that competitors are not using performance enhancing drugs.

DFSA has a 12-year history of offering drug-free events that give natural athletes a platform to showcase their hard work.  Jeffrey Kipple and his partner Mindy Blackstien challenge people to be Body Proud by cherishing their bodies, to utilize proper posture, build strength, and a positive mental outlook.  “DFSA with the aid of our super-fit FAME Role Models collaborates with nonprofit organizations to offer its new ‘Muscles That Make A Difference’ program to teach children, elders and disabled individuals the Body Proud principles of how to get and stay fit,” says Kippel, President and Founder of the DFSA and WNSO (World Natural Sports Organization).
